Top Family-Friendly Neighborhoods In Langley, BC

Rife with access to family-friendly attractions such as Krause Berry Farms, the Greater Vancouver Zoo, The Great Escape, and Planet Lazer, Langley is a great city for families both large and small. They also gain from the stunning surroundings, unique cultural activities, and the top-notch school system. Many highly-regarded elementary, middle, and secondary schools, private and public, can be found in Langley, giving parents various options when deciding which school to send their kids to. So, if you have a family and are looking to move into the area, which family-friendly neighborhoods should you focus on? Follow for more!

Fort Langley – Looking to get away to a place with a little more history? Consider investing in the well-liked but costly Fort Langley neighborhood. Fort Langley, a very well-liked weekend getaway location, has some of the cutest houses in the Lower Mainland—complete with stringent building regulations. There are no immediate plans to develop the agricultural area surrounding Fort Langley, which is fantastic for current residents and anyone who wants to live in a small town with access to big city facilities. We also adore the community’s walkability, which includes the well-known fort-to-fort pathways, good dining options, an abundance of neighborhood cafes and an abundance of gift shops.

Brookswood – Brookswood is another popular neighborhood for families in the Township of Langley, South of the Nicomekl River. Larger quarter-acre lots allow for some lovely new detached home constructions. The surrounding woods and creeks that host salmon spawning add to the natural element. The Township of Langley intends to expand the commercial space on 200 Street and build multi-family homes, which will enhance amenities and access for this well-connected and centrally located neighborhood.

Walnut Grove – Since many townhouse-owning families started looking for their own detached homes in a fantastic school district last year, this Langley neighborhood has flourished. Families can spend their time traveling to shops and restaurants or strolling along the river pathways in Walnut Grove because it is a fantastic bedroom neighborhood for individuals commuting into downtown Vancouver. This neighborhood includes amenities and several planned subdivisions on more oversized lots. This region is an excellent place to raise a family because of the great schools and the convenience.

Aldergrove – Aldergrove in Langley will interest investors and individuals seeking value in their real estate investment. It used to be a highway neighborhood with some light industrial around the perimeter, but things are changing now. The community is currently constructing a new municipal center, and an ice rink and pool will follow in a few years. There is a lot of promise for families seeking a place that is a little less expensive but still developing when one considers the great shops and accessibility to transit lines.

Latimer Heights – A new house at Latimer Heights may be a worthwhile option for you if you’re looking for something newer and more affordable. Latimer Heights is one of Langley’s most sought-after new communities for raising a family because of its larger lot sizes and larger homes in a variety of styles. But because of its expanding popularity, costs may rise faster than many families are willing to wait to buy. There is also a lot of movement into the area, hopefully settling after more families move in.

Of course, all of this boils down to a combination of affordability, community, and proximity when weighing your options. No matter where you go, Langley offers a lot of new buildings, newer schools, fantastic shopping, and entertainment opportunities. Finding the ideal balance for your family may be challenging, but it will be well worth the effort.

Hopefully, you’ve already heard of, or have already had your eye on, these family-friendly neighborhoods if you have been looking to move into the area and are looking to either start or raise a family.
